Disability Disclosure as a Student

Disclosing a disability can provide students with the support and education adjustments to allow them to study and complete their course to the best of their ability.

Disclosing disability also has the possibility of encountering lowered expectations and other prejudicial attitudes during study.

A student has no obligation to disclose their disability to an education provider unless it is likely to pose a risk to their own or other’s safety or affect their performance to meet the core requirements of the studies.
