The National Disability Coordination Officer (NDCO) Program works strategically to assist people with disability (ages 15-64) to access and participate in further education and subsequent employment.
NDCOs work with stakeholders at a local level to reduce systemic barriers, facilitate smooth transitions, build links and coordinate supports between education, training and employment sectors.
Our goals are to
- Improve linkages between schools, universities, vocational education and training organisations, employment services and providers of disability programs and assistance at all government levels
- Improve transitions by people with disability between school/community and tertiary education and then to subsequent employment
- Improve participation for people with disability in tertiary education and employment
